Remember, remember the fifth of November
Today is Guy Fawkes day, an observance of the day that the Gunpower Plot almost succeeded in destroying the House of Parliment, led by English Protestant Guy Fawkes, in protest of the nature of Protestant in the English Monarchy in 1605. The plot was discovered before it could be carried out. Fawkes and his co-conspirators were captured, tortured and killed after they failed to escape.
